Our Commitment

Rural Oregon Community Foundation (ROCF) is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We aim to meet the **Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA** and to continuously improve the user experience for everyone.

What We’re Doing

We use accessibility best practices in our website templates and content, including:

- Clear page structure and semantic headings (H1–H2–H3)

- Descriptive link text and meaningful button labels

- Alternative text for images and captions/transcripts for media where feasible

- Keyboard‑navigable interfaces and visible focus indicators

- Appropriate color contrast and legible font sizes

- Form labels, error messaging, and helpful instructions

We regularly review our site with platform tools and make updates to address issues as they are identified.

Known Limitations

While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance, some **third‑party content or embedded widgets** (such as maps, donation forms, or event tools) may not fully meet the standard. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please let us know so we can help and work to provide an alternative.
